Photoshop Language
Here are some of the language used in photoshop
Photoshop - is an advance digital imaging tool. You can edit/create photos, etc. It is similar to MS paint but it has MANY more features!
Render - is a picture with no backround (used in many signatures and pictures with a main focus)
.psd file - is the file of photoshop when you save it, it reserves all of your layers and it is the main file that was created to store photoshop projects (mostly cannot be uploaded). Always save your work in a psd atleast once because it saves all of your layers
.png file - you should save everything in png because it preserves all your colour, best quality
Brushes - is a certain tool that helps you add effects to anything
c4D Renders - 3D abstract shapes that can be used to make a good background
.gif file - if you are making an animation, be sure to save it as a .gif, but .gif doesn't preserve the quality as a .png does
Layer Property - usually, you would want to switch layer properties to make something blend (ex. Lighten, Screen, Soft Light, Overlay, etc.)
Tools:
Gradient - a tool which is easy to use and great for simple backgrounds, choose 2 colors, and then pick the gradient you want, then stretch it and done
Paint Bucket - a tool that fills up the whole area, doesnt go past colours, like a fill in of what's left
Brush - great tool if you have brush sets, good for different type of siggys and adding effects to images
Pencil - a tool that has no shading, it's colour is what you chose and it can switch between the two, good for shading manually
Move - a tool that can move the whole layer to fit your needs
Selects - a tool that can select a certain area and you can modify it
Burn/Dodge - makes image more 3D, adds darkness/adds light, good for lightning effects
Zoom in/out - useful tool that let's you zoom in/out to see your project
Smudge - a tool that can smudge images, similar to blur but can smudge images accross the screen
Blur - a tool that can blur the image, good for making the image stand out if there's another copy ontop
Sharpen - a tool that can sharpen the image, used if the image is too blurred, if you add too much, it screws up the picture
Pattern Stamp - a tool that can use your patterns to spread accross any area you wish, mainly for tech artwork |
